What A Weekend…

This weekend was crazy, fun, and intense.

The weekend started out pretty normal. I awoke on Saturday morning, put a load of laundry in, turned on the TV and made a cup of coffee. I went to the local romance writers meeting and then out to lunch with a bunch of the other romance writers. It was fun!

My friend Shelli Stevens had arranged to be without her daughter for the day so we decided to go shopping! We arrived at Bell Square and got caught in the mass of cars all looking for a parking spot in the parking garage. A car in front of us waited for a car to pull out of a space and the car behind us got impatient and angry. The driver started honking his horn at us. Well really at the car in front of us. As we sat there waiting for this guy to take the spot, the people in the car next to it came out to their car and got ready to go… I’m thinking cool… we had to wait here anyway… now I get spot for waiting. Cool.

The guy behind us continued to honk, and as the car whose space I am going to take pulls out, the guy behind us gets out of his car, comes forward, and hits my car window HARD, saying MOVE your fucking car!

I jumped and Shelli yells at the guy to get away from my car. I pull forward away from the guy and into the parking spot. My heart was pounding… I was shocked that someone would do that in a parking lot. Especially when it was not my fault we were waiting there to begin with it was the car in front of us. The guy got back into his car and drove off… Thank God.

So, we get out of the car and head in to the mall and I am thinking… I’m going to come back to my car and find it egged or something. Luckily the car was fine… and shopping chilled my nerves.

Shelli purchased a new phone. I restocked my stocking drawer with tan thigh highs. Can you believe Tan thigh highs are hard to find? Black, Red, White… All popular in the thigh high category… Tan, not so much. The only place I have found them is at Nordstrums. I love to wear thigh highs because there is none of that holding in your stomach stuff that gets uncomfortable throughout the day and they make me feel sexy all day long.

We also went to LUSH. Great place to spend money. lol. I bought lotion, massage bars, bubble bath for me and for the kids, this amazing cuticle cream that I am addicted to and some lip balm. Because I spent so much I received a free Mask and some other samples. Love the mask it has blueberries in it.

From there we decided to see if we could find some book stores so that I could sign stock. We went to Barns and Noble in University Village. They had one copy left of the three that they had ordered. GRIN. I signed that copy. Then we headed out to Alderwood mall. We stopped in to the Barn and Noble first. Here they had two copies on the shelf. I signed the first one and Shelli took my picture. Then I signed the second and I SIGNED MY REAL NAME! EEK! I have to buy this book. The guy at the counter is like why? I said I signed my real name NOT my pen name. I felt so stupid. I laughed, he laughed… Luckily I had about 10 books in my car and he was nice enough to let me swap one I had in my car with the one I fudged. I still can’t believe I did that. Blush.

The rest of the evening was fun and normal. The Borders at Alderwood had my book on the front romance display as you walk in the door. The manager there asked me what my thoughts were about having the Erotic Romances in with Romance vs Erotica. I said I like them being in the romance section and that all of the other stores I had been in had them in the Romance section. She said they had been talking about moving them from Romance to the Erotica section. I personally feel they should be in Romance. It is a Romance after all.

The weekend was topped on Sunday with me writing the first half of my second novella in my Bear book. Talk about SEX. Man this book is non stop from the get go. I am really enjoying this story.

Sunday night I went with Shelli and a friend of hers to Teatro ZinZanni to celebrate Shelli’s Bday. It was a blast! The performances amazing, the food decent, and the drinks STRONG. I had three Vodka martinis over the 4 hour period we where there… I have not had that much to drink in a long time, but it was a celebration so it was fun!

Anyway, that was my crazy, intense, fun weekend.
Hope your weekend was as interesting.

Hugs,
Lacy.
