2009 New Years Resolutions

Diet and physical health
I will eat less sugar
I will eat more fruit and less processed foods
I will eat less salt
I will drink less alcohol
I will exercise daily
I will lose 10 lbs.

Mental health and happiness
I will say no when I really want to without guilt.
I will smile and relish the goodness in the things around me daily.
Find peace, calm, and joy in what I do daily.
Experience something new each week.
I will End the destructive cycle of thinking that if given time things will change. (Change only happens when you take action and face a fear not when you wait, ponder, hope.)
Release myself from the past and follow my life course. To make my future.
Move forward and challenge my fears head on. (Fears, to be betrayed again, to be alone, to not sell another book, to not be a good enough parent.)
Remove the negative forces in my life. Mistrust, jealousy, chaos, resentment, disrespect.

Kids
See more of my kids.

Be more patient with my kids.
Be more firm with my kids when they are throwing a tantrum or do something wrong.
Do more outdoor activities with my kids.

Writing
Write at least 1.5K a day.
Contract another two books and one novella
Write a full-length book and a novella
Improve my writing flow… my poetic rhythm
Spend more time on promoting my books.
Take two writing retreats.
Spend less time online and more time making word count!

Relationships, Friends, Family, and Love
Write to my family and friends once a month.
Follow my Gut and Heart when it comes to relationships.
Explore the depths of myself in a trusted relationship.
Give more to those I care deeply for.
Find a way to fulfill the need to feel protected within myself instead of searching for it in others.

I realize the above list is huge… it will take more like a lifetime to accomplish. I guess you could say this is my life improvement list rather than my simple 2009 resolutions. I suppose I should pick one thing from each of the categories above and concentrate on that until I am successful in 2009 so to do that…

Here is my start list.
Explore the depths of myself in a trusted relationship.
Write at least 1.5K a day.
See more of my kids.
I will lose 10 lbs.
I will end the destructive cycle of thinking that if given time things will change. (Change only happens when you take action and face a fear not when you wait, ponder, hope.)

I hope your new year is filled with good things and lightness.

Hugs and Kisses,
Lacy.

Lacey Dear, I think you’re even more sentimental than I am. Best wishes for the new year.

I guess I am a bit sentimental eh? I took a glance at your blog. I love the post about humans being trained by our animals! We humans are trainable that is for sure.

    Wink.

    Best wishes to you too.
    Lacy.
